Bruce Lee quotes
It’s not daily increase but daily decrease—hack away the unessentials!
Running water never grows stale. So you just have to ‘keep on flowing’.
Faith is a state of mind that can be conditioned through self-discipline. Faith will accomplish.
Faith makes it possible to achieve that which man’s mind can conceive and believe.
Make at least one definite move daily toward your goal.
Concentration is the ROOT of all the higher abilities in man.
What we are after is the ROOT and not the branches. The root is the real knowledge; the branches are surface knowledge. Real knowledge breeds “body feel” and personal expression; surface knowledge breeds mechanical conditioning and imposing limitation and squelches creativity.
If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.
I am learning to understand rather than immediately judge or to be judged. I cannot blindly follow the crowd and accept their approach. I will not allow myself to indulge in the usual manipulating game of role creation. Fortunately for me, my self-knowledge has transcended that and I have come to understand that life is best to be lived and not to be conceptualized. I am happy because I am growing daily and I am honestly not knowing where the limit lies. To be certain, every day there can be a revelation or a new discovery. I treasure the memory of the past misfortunes. It has added more to my bank of fortitude.
Simplicity is the key to brilliance.
Choose the positive. — You have choice — you are master of your attitude — choose the POSITIVE, the CONSTRUCTIVE. Optimism is a faith that leads to success.
Cease negative mental chattering. — If you think a thing is impossible, you’ll make it impossible. Pessimism blunts the tools you need to succeed.
The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering
Ever since I was a child I have had this instinctive urge for expansion and growth. To me, the function and duty of a quality human being is the sincere and honest development of one’s potential
Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not you go out and look for a successfull personality and duplicate it.
Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless – like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.
As long as I can remember I feel I have had this great creative and spiritual force within me that is greater than faith, greater than ambition, greater than confidence, greater than determination, greater than vision. It is all these combined. My brain becomes magnetized with this dominating force which I hold in my hand.
The possession of anything begins in the mind.
When there is freedom from mechanical conditioning, there is simplicity. The classical man is just a bundle of routine, ideas and tradition. If you follow the classical pattern, you are understanding the routine, the tradition, the shadow – you are not understanding yourself.
Absorb what is useful, Discard what is not, Add what is uniquely your own.

Mark Twain quotes
Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn′t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.Explore. Dream. Discover.
Don’t part with your illusions. When they are gone you may still exist, but you have ceased to live.
Humor is the great thing, the saving thing. The minute it crops up, all our irritations and resentments slip away and a sunny spirit takes their place.
NO PASSION
Finding your passion is like solving a mystery; you need to know how to interpret the clues that indicate you are on the right track. Following are five passion clues, as well as five signals that let you know that you are headed in the wrong direction, from author Nancy Anderson, based on her book, Work With Passion.
Passion Clues:
1. You would do the work even if you did not get paid for it.
2. You are focused on mastering your work, not on the outcome.
3. You are transformed into a better person as you do the work.
4. You are not aware that time is going by.
5. You are paid to be who you are.
Five Off Track Signals that let you know when you are off the passion track:
1. Making money is your priority.
2. You are concerned about how you look in the eyes of others.
3. You are focused on the end result, not the process.
4. You take shortcuts to achieve your objectives.
5. You sacrifice your needs for others’ needs even when it is destructive to your emotional and physical health.
Unfortunatly,I don’t fit the passion clues above but absolutely correspond with the five off track signals below, and what’s worse,I find It’s difficult for me to work hard without passion.
Curt Rosengren who is a career expert in Seattle helps people identify their passions and create careers that ignite them. He defines passion like this:
Passion is the energy that comes from bringing more of YOU into what you do.
It’s doing something that is in alignment with who you are. It’s doing what comes naturally to you, not what you ‘should’ do.It’s like allowing water to gain energy from flowing along its natural riverbed, rather than trying to force it up and over a mountain.
That sounds very attractive and I really like his definition of passion.
